Tots FC Launch

An exciting and fun football-for-tots concept is being launched by Kick Start in four new locations across Leicestershire.
Delivered by experienced and FA qualified coaches, the 10 week ‘Tots FC’ programme is the young player’s introduction to football. Aimed at 3 to 6 year olds, the first 10 weeks kick start at Judgemeadow Community College on Monday 25th July, followed by Welland Park Community College in Market Harborough on Tuesday 26th, East Leake Leisure Centre on Thursday 28th and Lutterworth Soccer Centre on Friday 29th. Sessions begin at 3.45pm for 3-4 year olds and at 4.30pm for kids aged 5 -6 years.
Dan Leivers, a director of Leicester-based Kick Start says: “Tots FC is not just a fun football skills learning environment, it is about developing children physically, socially and mentally. All sessions are delivered in an exciting and fun way that encourages young players to develop a love for the game. Plus, any child who joins Tots FC can, at 7 years old, progress onto our Skills Academy for older youngsters.”
Kick Start’s Tots FC is already up and running in partnership with both St Andrews FC and Leicester Nirvana FC. Four year old Lucy, from Enderby, is new to Tots FC and 6 year old Sam, also from Enderby, plays at the St Andrews Tots FC sessions on Saturdays.
“Sam is football crazy and loves his Tots FC sessions,” says Sam’s dad, Stuart Ogden. “The programme is well structured and delivered in a way that kids will understand and enjoy. The coaching is first rate and ideal for young players. Sam’s footie skills are progressing well but most of all, it’s great to see him having a fantastic time.”
